SCHOOL OF EDUCATION GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
The School of Education offers the following scholarships. Scholarships specific to Educational Administration graduate students will be announced separately in the summer.
Edgar A. and Evelyn Benzler Tanruther Scholarship ($1,000). Graduate student in good standing with a professional interest in elementary education.
Margaret and Barton Morgan Scholarship ($1,000). Full-time SoE graduate student preparing to become a teacher or school administrator in a PreK-12 School system, 3.0 GPA, selection based on scholastic achievement and financial need.
Larry and Barbara Ebbers Graduate Student Fund (variable). Higher Education student who is a graduate assistant, preference to PhD students.
Ray Bryan Scholarship ($1000). International Higher Education graduate student who demonstrates financial need.
Dr. Judy K. Nissen Endowed Scholarship ($1,000). MS or PhD student in Higher Education, enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits per semester, with demonstrated financial need. Preference for female students who are Iowa residents and have worked in education for 3 or more years.
John P. Wilson Scholarship ($1000). Graduate student in Higher Education. Preference for students studying organizational leadership and/or human resource development.
Dr. Carlie C. Tartacov Promoting Equity Scholarship ($800). Graduate Student enrolled in the School of Education; preference given to those who demonstrate an interest in multicultural and diversity education which may be exemplified through: Promoting issues of justice and equity in research and teaching OR Multicultural curricula development.
Beatty Scholarship ($1000). Graduate student in good standing in Educational Administration. Candidates must be enrolled in the PreLEAD or CAS program.
Richard P. Manatt Fellowship (variable). Graduate student in Educational Administration; admission to PhD program in ELPS with educational administration emphasis; possession of MS from accredited institution; outstanding scholarship and graduate work
Jordan L. Larson Award in Educational Administration (variable). Outstanding student receiving a graduate degree in Educational Administration.
NOTE: Students will not be considered for a SoE scholarship during semesters in which they are registered for fewer than 4 credits.

- Cover letter describing your goals for graduate study and future career plans, as well as how you anticipate using the scholarship funds to further your education. Please note which scholarships you would like to be considered for and any additional information not included on the application form that addresses your qualifications for a particular award and any additional information about your scholarly/professional accomplishments not addressed in your application materials
