Current student in the School of Education: Ph.D Education, Higher Education
With one Ph.D. to her name already and obtaining American citizenship on Sept. 16, 2016, doctoral student Anupma Singh is staying busy in and out of the classroom.
Having received her first Ph.D. in American Literature from the University of Allahabad in India, Anupma Singh took her knowledge and gave it back to the students becoming a lecturer in both India and Minnesota.
Singh made the decision to work towards a Ph.D. in higher education after her time lecturing in the Department of Asian Languages and Literatures at the University of Minnesota.
“My time teaching at Minnesota gave me experience with the system interaction and how it works with the student population,” Singh said. “It was like a brave new world and really provided me with a diverse experience and that experience is what brought me to Iowa State.”
