The Future Teachers-Future Leaders learning community connects students with social and learning activities that extend well beyond the classroom. Future Teachers-Future Leaders provides students with an overview of the elementary education program requirements, curricular opportunities, and university procedures. This learning community is a one semester experience and is required of those majoring in elementary education. It is tied to CI/EDUC 315: Transfer Orientation. The coordinator of this learning community is Alicia Edwards.
Majors eligible to join the learning community
All transfer and change of major students who are majoring in elementary education are automatically enrolled in Future Teachers-Future Leaders. This learning community is also open to those who are exploring/considering elementary education as a major.
This is a nonresidential learning community.
Transfer students are enrolled the first semester they are on campus as elementary education majors.
