Where the best Teachers are Taught
Desire to Inspire
Think about a teacher who made an impact on your life. Now? It’s your turn! At Iowa State, we believe in a hands-on education taught by professors shaping the future of education through their research. You’ll gain real-world experience in classrooms early in your education and have over 100 hours of observation and practice before you student teach. Then, you’ll spend 16 weeks student teaching. You’ll leave Iowa State ready to lead a classroom of your own.

AI for Future Teachers
A team of researchers is working with pre-service teachers to understand, design, and teach using discipline-specific approaches to AI in secondary classrooms.
“Research shows that the overwhelming majority of students are already using AI in some capacity. “We can’t serve future teachers, or their future students, without acknowledging and preparing for these new classroom realities.”
